Fall In Love with Hawaiʻi
Marriage Licenses
There are no state residence or U.S. citizenship requirements to marry in Hawaiʻi. Before you can marry, an agent for the state must issue your marriage license. The couple must be present when the license is issued and both must be at least 18 years old. There is no waiting period, and no blood tests or shots are required. The license is good for 30 days and the fee is $65. The birthplace, names of parents and final divorce decree information (if applicable) will be required on the license application.

Please check in with the appropriate authorities in your county of residence and/or citizenship regarding the validity of your marriage in Hawaiʻi (the United States). Additional steps may be required for your marriage to be recognized at home.
